Early Artworks
Some of JC Barber Art early works, from mixed media to oils on canvas. From around 1991 to millennium. Painting other worlds from inspiration and philosophical knowledge.
Introduction to Oil Paints
Having always been creative, drawing, colouring, and using mixed media from a young age, it was Jennifers father who bought her a watercolour set at 15 and then later at 20 years old was introduced to some spare oil paints and a canvas he had.
Falling in love with the creamy texture of oil paints, and the ways to manipulate the paint on the canvas was a life long gift that could only go forwards.
Doodles to Creations
It all begins with an idea or a doodle. Using biro pen or pencil a simple doodle can turn into full creative piece. With colour and shapes bouncing and little landscapes appearing. Many of JC Barber Art early works became whole other worlds from the simple humble doodle on paper.
